The multi-domain exercise intervention for memory and brain function in late middle-aged and older adults at risk for Alzheimer's disease: A protocol for Western–Eastern Brain Fitness Integration Training trial
Aging is associated with cognitive decline, increased risk for dementia, and deterioration of brain function. Modifiable lifestyle factors (e.g., exercise, meditation, and social interaction) have been proposed to benefit memory and brain function. However, previous studies have focused on a single exercise modality or a single lifestyle factor.

Comparison of changes in miR-146a gene expression and serum levels of TNF-α, IL-6 and CRP following interval or continuous aerobic training with calorie restriction in obese
Micro-RNAs (miRNA) are short RNA molecules that as significant regulators of physiological processes associated with obesity play important roles in body; this is while the combination of effect of interval and continuous aerobic training along with calorie restriction can affect the gene expression of miR-146a and some inflammatory factors like tumor necrosis factor- α (TNF-α), interleukin -6 (IL-6) and C-reactive protein (CRP). Therefore, the aim of the present study was to determine the effect of two types of exercise training along with intermittent calorie restriction (ICR) on miR-146a expression and TNF-α, IL-6 and CRP levels in obese women.

Effects of Diet Control and Telemedicine-Based Resistance Exercise Intervention on Patients with Obesity and Knee Osteoarthritis: A Randomized Control Trial
This study investigated the effects of home-based nutritional and telemedicine-based resistance exercise interventions on improving body composition, blood biochemistry, and lower-limb functional performance.

Inflammatory markers response to crocin supplementation in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus: A randomized controlled trial
Inflammation and oxidative stress is a risk factor for the development of long-term consequences in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). This study was designed to investigate the effects of crocin consumption on oxidative stress and inflammatory markers in patients with T2DM.

Effects of testosterone undecanoate on performance during multi-stressor military operations: A trial protocol for the Optimizing Performance for Soldiers II study
Thus, the OPS II study will address these limitations and test the hypothesis that a single dose of long-acting testosterone undecanoate (750 mg) will safely and steadily maintain normal testosterone concentrations and enhance military relevant measures of physical performance during, and in recovery from, a simulated, multi-stressor SUSOPS.

The Effect of Repeated Whole-Body Cryotherapy on Sirt1 and Sirt3 Concentrations and Oxidative Status in Older and Young Men Performing Different Levels of Physical Activity
The activity of antioxidant enzymes and sirtuins (Sirt) decreases along with age, which is counteracted by aerobic training. Sirtuins increase antioxidant defence. Whole-body cryotherapy (WBC) increases total antioxidant capacity (TAC) in young men. The aim of our study was to assess the impact of 24 WBC treatments on the blood concentration of selected sirtuins and the level of antioxidant defence as well as oxidative stress index of training and non-training men depending on age.

Sex-Specific Differences in Related Indicators of Blood Pressure in School-Age Children With Overweight and Obesity: A Cross-Sectional Study
The objective of this study is to further explore the difference between elevated blood pressure (EBP), elevated pulse pressure (EPP), and elevated mean arterial pressure (EMAP) and obesity in Chinese school-age children by sex.

Can Anthropometry and Body Composition Explain Physical Fitness Levels in School-Aged Children?
Physical fitness (PF) is closely related to various health outcomes and quality of life among children. However, the associations between anthropometry, body composition (BC), and PF are not fully elucidated. This cross-sectional study aimed to investigate the associations between demographic metrics (age, sex), anthropometric measures (body mass index z-score (BMI z-score) waist/height ratio (WHtR)), BC parameters (body-fat percentage (BF%), muscle weight), and PF levels (800-m run, sit-and-reach, 1-min sit-ups, standing long jump) in school-aged children.

Increased Serum WISP1 Levels are Associated with Lower Extremity Atherosclerotic Disease in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
Serum wnt1-induced signaling pathway protein 1 (WISP1) levels are increased with obesity, which is a common complication associated with lower extremity atherosclerotic disease (LEAD). However, to date, the relationship between elevated WISP1 levels and the incidence of lower extremity atherosclerotic disease (LEAD) in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) remains unclear.
